Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
